1. Most OUR longhaired German Shepherds have straighter backs, not so slanted down in their hindquaters.
3. As a general rule, the long coat GSD'S seem to shed slightly less than most of the
standard coats... Except when they blow their coats!
2. The longcoat German Shepherds temperaments seem to be different. Usually a bit calmer, gentler, more mellow. Some of them can even tend to be a bit 'clownish' (silly) acting. Yet they are naturally protective as well- they are gsd's.
They are called: long coat German Shepherds, long haired German Shepherds,
coated German Shepherds. Some people call them plush coat or plush coated or brush coat German Shepherds.

Long coats are a 'fault' for AKC conformation showing, but NOTadisqualifying fault.
Nota fault at all for AKC obedience, agility, etc.
All may also get their CGC which is a certificate nota TITLE.
