We ship puppies at 8-10 weeks of age. 'PICKING' for puppies being shipped- is by 6 weeks old so

we can get started setting up appointments for people who will be driving to pick up their Puppy.

We have experienced no problems w/shipping and will be more that happy to give you phone #'s to people that have been to our home to meet us and our dogs as well as people we have shipped our puppies to.

We can not ship puppies until we have received back the signed contract.

We are currently looking for a few SELECT 'Forever Yours' Breeding Foster HOMES for Puppies and Adults. Foster Families do not usually pay for their pup/dog. Some adults are not in the breeding program and may be spayed. The Pup/Dog will belong to the Foster Family forever! We are very selective in who we choose to become a foster family. The Foster Parents go through a detailed selection process. Usually must live within a 200 mile radius of Lerona, WV. and be willing to participate in our breeding program. For males it would require possible occasional stud use. Females- need to inquire.

SHIPPING INFO: We DO encourage people to come to pick up their puppy so they can meet the parents of their Puppy and most of the time the Grandparents too! AND so we can meet one another!

AYER'S LONG COAT GERMAN SHEPHERDS

MOST of our dogs REALLY DO live IN our home. Most of our dogs spend part of the day and most all of the nights in our home. Since we have more than can all fit in the house at one time, the few others get 'rotated' and come in during most of the days and some of the nights when a few of the others have to spend the night out! ALL of the dogs get to be out in the yard for about half of the day which keeps us pretty busy rotating everyone in or out of kennels, yard or inside. We are looking to place a few of our dogs so that everyone can be in at night and in bad weather.

Friends, neighbors, and our many Breeder friends can vouch for this! Just let us know if you would like references! All of our Puppy Owners who come to our home to pick out their Puppy see this as well- with 8-12 inside! :-) Every one is just so excited to be meeting all the dogs and so awestruck by the size and beauty and friendliness of these magnificent animals! - and has so much fun! Most call it 'German Shepherd Heaven'!

No pets in hotel or cabins. Horseback riding, golf, pools (in and outside), jacuzzi, nature center, tram-down and up the mountain (fine dining at bottom of gorge-casual dress), game room, etc, 1 other restaurant and 1 snack bar. 1-800-CALL-WVA. Great if you arrive the afternoon/evening before for paperwork and meeting dogs and pick up Puppy in the morning. If you bring your pet he/she IS allowed at the campground. SLEEP INN (takes Pets) + more hotels are in Princeton-25 minutes south of us. Or hotels in Beckley (50 minutes north of us) or Lewisberg (60 minutes north-east of us). We have some lovely inns right near us too.

DEPOSIT INFO: Early reservations are recommended to ensure you getting the a puppy from the litter of your choice as we receive deposits early on future litters and since I will usually only have 4-6 litters in a year. There is a $300.00 non-refundable - no exceptions - deposit to hold a puppy for you.(will be deducted from total price of Pup) If I do not have what you are desiring in your chosen litter- the deposit may be transfered to the next available litter. If you pass to a future litter your position may change up or down depending if others have or have not put a deposit on a pup in another litter before your needing to move to another litter. Deposit is only refundable if I can not give you what you desire - EX: boy or girl. Once we recieve a deposit we will send you via e-mail- a puppy application, lots of info on training/socializing/feeding/caring for your new puppy, shipping info, contract/guarantee, etc. A new page is up where new owners can go to get all this info themselves.

For SHIPPING Puppies -Final payment for Puppy must be recieved by us by the time the Pups are 5 weeks old and 2 copies of the signed and filled out contract returned.

We only place our puppies in homes where they will live inside and be a part of the family.

One female dog has a litter of 4 puppies. She has the same number of pups twice a year for 6 years. If every puppy born from every litter during those six years has four puppies, how many puppies will have been produced during that 6 year period?

Answer to the Math Challenge:

If allowed to breed, one female dog can cause the production of 972 puppies within 6 years!

PLEASE! Spay and Neuter your pets.You'll be doing a good thing.

We do not stud out our males - nor at this time, do we use 'outside males' as we prefer to use males that we are very familar with their lines, males that are from our own kennel- some being total outcrosses or from our own breedings. Also this way we do not have to worry about infections such as brucellosis, etc.
